There is a way our body is designed to breathe, but we don’t use it, we’ve opted ironically for the easy option, but that easy option is less than efficient. Even highly trained people generally do not have functional breathing.
We have a breathing sensitivity test, that very very few people demonstrate functionality with. So it’s fair to say that we have work to do.
Imagine sustaining an injury that causes you to compensate posture and movement patterns, and those adjustments get hardwired into your nervous system. So that even once healed, the compensatory habit remains. A lifetime of mouth breathing has done that to our breathing.
Breath Training, reminds our body how to breathe the way we are designed to breathe, nasally; and once we are re-aligned to that, our airways and blood vessels open up, our tolerance to CO2 improves and we are able to oxygenate our bodies much more fully.
The result is greatly improved health and well being, improved performance in sport, and with the advanced work - less reliance on breathing apparatus at high altitude, as an example.
The implications in human health are compelling. We simply teach you how to breathe again. Whether that is due to long covid, exercise induced asthma, or because you are a competitive athlete. The breath training has an application in every sphere of life, because breathing is the basis of life.

No matter what your fitness level is we can all greatly benefit from improving our breathing. It's the one thing that underpins it all. We're the product of billions of years of evolution, and we're built to operate from High Altitude to the depths of the ocean and everything in between. Operating at our best at any of these levels comes down to making simple adjustments to our breathing. Here, on this site, you learn how.
We start you out with developing your functional breathing. The reason is simple:
You need to build a solid respiratory foundation that is rooted in your daily breathing patterns; because your breathing at rest is the basis of your breathing when physical workloads increase - dysfunctional breathing will be impacting your performance. This is not just an athletic consideration - remember we are human first, and the respiratory foundation programme is about building from that most basic humanity.
if you are breath training to improve oxygenation in sport, diving, adventure, expedition; after we have established your respiratory foundation, we can then look at bringing the breathing method into your training. We can also start to add in more demanding breath training that will start increasing your aerobic capacity and thus enhancing your performance.
We deliver the teaching through the Training App (download links below).
As mentioned we will start you with the Foundational Breath Training Programme, which you should be able to complete in about 4 weeks, and then we can open up the Advanced Breath Training Programme, in which we introduce you to Simulated Altitude Training and encourage you to make the shift to using nasal breathing for Aerobic Base and up to 80% Vo2 Max training intensity.
We are always contactable, much prefer to guide in person, but understand that you may have a weekly schedule that makes it difficult to commit to regular in person training. We don't want missed sessions to hold you back, so hence training via the app enables you to do the work when you can without missing a step, so to speak.
